DALI Lab

UI/UX Design; App and Web Development

The Neukom DALI Lab is a research and development lab in the Computer Science Department at Dartmouth College. We pair Students (developers and designers) with partners (outside startups and community members). The students work together outside of the classroom, building prototypes while learning technical and creative skills.

Tiltfactor

GAME DESIGN

Tiltfactor invents engaging games and novel forms of play to inspire new ways of thinking about important social issues. Founded and directed by leading innovator Dr. Mary Flanagan, Tiltfactor is an award-winning design studio and research laboratory that takes on critical problems at a national and global scale.

DHE is an award-winning, impact-driven group of university students at Dartmouth College. With a wide range of technical projects in developing nations, DHE strives to encourage development, improve health and reduce environmental impact through sustainable, affordable, socially-conscious solutions for communities in need.

 

Visual Computing Lab

Computing design; software design

The Dartmouth Visual Computing Lab covers a broad range of research areas including computational fabrication, light transport simulation, appearance modeling, appearance editing & capture, geometric modeling, architectural design, structural optimization, computer-aided-design interfaces, and digital forensics. We also benefit from a thriving community in Digital Arts at Dartmouth, with established collaborations in film, studio art, music and theater.

Visual Arts Digital Lab

The Digital Lab in the Black Family Visual Arts Center, first floor, offers students the opportunity to learn about working with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, etc., and other photo/video editing software in addition to receiving help on projects.
